World Egg Day 2018

On October 12, 2018 World Egg Day was celebrated across the globe! In Canada, we celebrated by bringing local farmers into grocery stores to meet consumers. It gave shoppers the unique opportunity to meet the people who produce the eggs they are eating. The farmers gave out egg coupons, recipes, reusable bags and answering any questions. In total, there were 63 farmers in 63 different grocery stores in every province and the Northwest Territories.

In Fredericton, we had Tyler Coburn at the Sobeys in the Brookside Mall. He is a 7th generation farmer from Coburn Farms Canada in Keswick Ridge.

We also had Aaron Law at the Superstore on Smythe St. He is an egg farmer from Kars, NB. He also does motivational speeches and is very involved on social media as the Empowered Farmer.
